According to Jordan’s Ministry of Health (MoH), there have been 6 confirmed deaths resulting from the H1N1 flu virus (Swine Flu), since September of this year. MoH reported that these figures do not signify a pandemic and are expected during flu season. According to sources in the Ministry, MoH hospitals have received hundreds of cases diagnosed as H1N1. The signs and symptoms of Swine Flu are similar to those of other influenza strains, and exposure to the virus lasts for approximately 7 days.
