JNPC Liquidation

The Cabinet of Jordan, led by Prime Minister Omar Razzaz, approved the liquidation of the Jordan Nuclear Power Company (JNPC). This voluntary liquidation will be undertaken due to the fact that the activities carried out by the company are nearing completion.   JNPC was established in 2015 as a private shareholding company, wholly owned by the government, as part of the implementation of the national energy strategy seeking to diversify Jordan’s energy sources. Amongst the activities undertaken by the company were feasibility studies on suite suitability, electrical networks, and financing, among others.
