A joint international research team that includes a Jordanian scientist from the Synchrotron-Light for Experimental Science and Applications in the Middle East (SESAME) has published the first research paper based on data collected experimentally at SESAME.
The data required to support the research process was obtained from multiple sources, one of which was the X-ray absorption near-edge spectroscopy (XANES) experiment performed at SESAME. The SESAME facility is a regional center of excellence with the only light source in the Middle East. It is located in Allan, Jordan, and was inaugurated in 2017.
