The Middle East Scientific Institute for Security’s (MESIS) Deputy Managing Director, Jasmine Auda, was selected as an essay contest finalist for the International Atomic Energy Agency’s 2020 International Conference on Nuclear Security (ICONS). The essay competition sought entries on innovative ways to strengthen and sustain nuclear security through technology, tools, and cooperation. The selected essay discussed Blockchain technology in nuclear security and its prospects for application in the Middle East. The competition attracted over submissions from 70 countries, and the essay will be presented at the upcoming Conference in Vienna this February.
